Why is WeTheNorth (WTN) focused on Canadian buyers?

The marketplace name is borrowed from a Toronto Raptors slogan. The audience focus is in the name. WTN has been bilingual English/French since launch and most vendors ship domestically within Canada.

What that means in practice

Vendor messages, policy pages and dispute screens carry parallel French copy — not a thin translation layer. Shipping defaults to Canada-only; a Canadian buyer transacting on WTN largely avoids the customs-roulette risk that comes with international parcels on cross-border markets.

For non-Canadian buyers
